Additional information on our beliefs

The Bible, in its original Hebrew and Greek, was compiled by human authors under divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is without error. It is life to us and is the only real source of truth in this world and provides us Godly wisdom and guidance for our lives.

We believe in the oneness of the Trinity -- God the Father, Jesus Christ, His Son, and the Holy Spirit -- three in one in complete and total unity. God expresses Himself in these three ways, each with divine purpose, power and authority.

Jesus Christ, the Word become flesh Who dwelt among us, through His life death, burial, and resurrection are the ONLY way to salvation and fellowship with God. He alone makes us truly righteous. Faith in who He is and what He did affords us salvation.

Grace is a gift of God that, through faith in the redemptive work of Christ, makes us righteous. We do not earn righteousness by our own works. However, grace is also there to teach us to say no to ungodliness and give us power to destroy sin in our lives. Grace keeps us free from condemnation and connected to God who will guide us to grow continually in our Christian walk.

Human beings are created for eternal existence - either eternally separated from God or united with Him. Eternal separation takes place in Hell and eternal union in Heaven. The choice we make regarding the offered gift of salvation determines where we spend that eternity.

We believe in the continued operation of Spiritual gifts described in the New Testament. Those gifts are not intended to make us weird or spooky or for drawing attention to ourselves. They are given to us to be tools to be more effective in our Kingdom assignments and walking in a victorious life. We believe being directed by the Spirit does not mean chaos, but purposeful order for maximum effectiveness.

We believe in the Biblical standard of marriage being between one man and one woman. God designed both to be unique and complimentary in accordance with His purposes. While we believe there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus and we love all equally, we are non-affirming of relationships which do not fit the Biblical standard.

We don't do politics -- D or R. We are about God's kingdom and His business and not a political party, figure, or movement. Sometimes we do need to talk about societal or cultural issues, but it is always done Scripturally and in as apolitical a way as possible. We won't avoid truth because someone thinks it's political but we also will never tell you how you need to vote.
